Martin Shaw was born on January 21, 1945, in Birmingham, England

He grew up in Erdington and Sutton Coldfield, where he attended Great Barr School.

He showed an interest in acting from an early age and joined a local drama group. At 16, he was offered a scholarship to a Birmingham drama school but declined.

Personal Life and Relationships

Martin Shaw has been married three times and has three children.

His first wife was Jill Allen, whom he married in 1968 when he was 23.

They had three children: Joe, Luke, and Sophie, who are all actors

They divorced in the early 1980s.

His second wife was Maggie Mansfield, an alternative therapist, whom he married in 1985.

They divorced in the late 1990s.

His third wife was Vicky Kimm, a TV presenter, whom he married in 1996.
