Eric Lynn Wright, born on September 7, 1964, was a famous American rapper known as Eazy-E.

He helped shape West Coast rap and gangsta rap by leading the N.W.A group and creating Ruthless Records.

People often call him the “Godfather of Gangsta Rap.” Hailing from Compton, California, Eazy-E faced legal troubles early on.

Yet, in 1987, he started Ruthless Records. He briefly did solo work, collaborating with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, before forming N.W.A with them in the same year.

Their first album, “Straight Outta Compton,” dropped in 1988, causing a stir but later gaining recognition as a significant album in music history.

N.W.A released their final album, “Niggaz4Life,” in 1991 before breaking up. Eazy-E got into conflicts with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre after N.W.A disbanded.

They went solo in 1989 and 1991.

While Eazy-E released two EPs alone, his substantial contributions continued behind the scenes.

Tomica Wright, born as Tomica Woods on December 7, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, is a well-known movie maker and businesswoman.

She’s the boss and CEO of Ruthless Records, a big-name music company in hip-hop.

Her early life had challenges, growing up mainly with her mom after her parents split.

She also spent time with her dad and was even in foster care.

She went to high school in San Fernando Valley and finished her studies at West Los Angeles College in 1990.

Tomica started her career in showbiz, working at different studios, aiming to become a movie maker.

But her path changed when she got a job as a secretary at Tabu Records, made by famous music boss Clarence Avant.

Being connected to Avant, often called the “Godfather of Black Music,” played a big role in making Tomica successful later.

However, what really put her in the spotlight was her romantic link with the famous rapper Eric Lynn “Eazy-E” Wright.

They started dating in 1991 and got married on March 19, 1995, shortly before Eazy-E’s sad death.

In 2017, there was news about Tomica Woods taking legal action against her stepson, Eric Darnell Wright (also known as Lil Eazy-E), for using trademarks that were like Ruthless Records and N.W.A.

She claimed that Eric tried to trademark “Ruthless Records Inc.,” which seemed too much like his dad’s label.

The argument was about using Eazy-E’s legacy and his trademarks.

The case also talked about how Eric and his partner used words that were not true and could confuse people in their promotions.

They said things like their company was “founded by legendary gangsta rap artist Eazy-E” and that they signed artists under NWA Entertainment.

The fight between Tomica Woods and Lil Eazy-E ended in 2018 when they agreed on a settlement. Lil Eazy-E got the right to use the name and mark “Rich & Ruthless.
